Hello Compostable Bioplastics?

 • ILSR launches its Sustainable Plastics Project, which is exploring the potential of bio-based and compostable plastics to substitute for harmful petroleum-based products and packaging.

This 44-page pocket-sized directory — produced by ILSR for the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments — lists 110 businesses reusing or recycling building materials in the Washington, DC region. It also includes Tips for Recycling Success at the Job Site and Frequently Asked Questions on how to recycle construction and demolition materials.

Good Read on US Garbage and Recycling

Students of solid waste management and its role in the US economy will not be able to ignore its information, insight, and exceptional historical research. The book will serve activists, dissertation writers and essayists well into the future.

We've helped citizens fight the incinerators and landfills that polluted their air and water, and drove property prices down.
